Most dates in the southern region of Kerman include Mazafati, Kalateh, Mordasang, Negar, Cordial, Pyarom, Zahedi and Majul date cultivars. The target market of these products is European countries, Russia and Afghanistan and the domestic market. Harvesting of dates in the southern regions of Kerman starts from the beginning of July with early Almehteri cultivars and continues until the end of October with the harvest of late Halilah cultivars in 29,000 hectares of fertile groves in this region.
